Key Features:

The strainer body is shaped like the letter “Y”.
One branch contains the straining element (mesh or perforated screen).
The other two are the inlet and outlet ports.

Commonly made from cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, or bronze.
The straining screen may be stainless steel or brass.
